REST API
Read and write the records that matter — students, admissions, attendance, results, fees — with scoped credentials per school, so an integration can never reach further than it was granted.
Event webhooks
Subscribe to the things that happen in a school day: a fee paid, a student admitted, a result published. Push, not poll, so your system reacts the moment it happens.
AI-native access
Klasstack already speaks the Model Context Protocol internally, which means AI assistants can work with school data as tools rather than scraped text. Opening that up is part of the same programme.
A sandbox school
A throwaway school full of realistic data to build against, so nobody has to test an integration on real children’s records.
Schools stay in control
Every integration will be granted by a school, scoped to what it actually needs, revocable at any time, and logged. Student records are the most sensitive data we hold, and opening an API is not a reason to hold them any more loosely. See our privacy policy for how we handle data today.
Frequently asked questions
- Is there an API available today?
- Not publicly. Klasstack runs on an internal API, but there are no public credentials, no published reference and no support commitment behind it yet. Building against it today would mean building against something that can change without notice — which is exactly what the developer platform is meant to fix.
- When will it launch?
- We are not putting a date on it, because a date we miss is worse than no date at all. What we can say is that the integrations people ask us for are what decide the scope, so if you need something specific, telling us now is the way to influence what ships first.
- Who is this for?
- Schools and school groups with an in-house developer, education partners who need Klasstack data in their own systems, state and district bodies aggregating across schools, and product teams building something that should plug into a school rather than replace one.
- Will it cost extra?
- Pricing is not settled. We would rather work that out with the people who tell us what they are building than announce a number we have to walk back.
- What happens to school data?
- Nothing changes about who owns it — the school does. Access will be scoped and granted by the school, revocable by the school, and logged. A developer platform that quietly widens who can read student records is not one worth shipping.
