A Nigerian school cannot bet two hours of a 300-pupil exam on the network holding up. So Klasstack ships a CBT appliance: one proctor laptop in the hall holds the paper, serves it to every candidate over the room’s own Wi-Fi, and marks the papers there and then. When the connection returns, each sat paper syncs back to your school and is re-graded by the exact same rules an online sitting uses — landing on the report card as though it had never been offline.

What is CBT exam software?
CBT (computer-based testing) software lets a school set and deliver exams on screen instead of on paper — students answer on a device, objective questions are marked automatically, and the scores go straight into the school’s records. Can we run CBT without internet?
Yes. The Klasstack CBT appliance holds the exam on a single proctor laptop and serves it to the hall over local Wi-Fi, so a sitting needs no internet at all. It marks the papers locally and syncs each one back to your school afterwards, where they are re-graded by the same rules an online sitting uses.
How many students can sit an exam at once?
Online there is no hall limit — students sit from any device with a connection. Offline, the appliance is designed to serve a full exam hall from one proctor machine over the room’s Wi-Fi, with each student on their own browser.
Does it prepare students for JAMB, WAEC and NECO CBT?
That is much of the point. Students practise with a countdown timer, a numbered question navigator and one-question-at-a-time delivery — the same shape as the national CBT exams — so exam day is familiar rather than intimidating. You can also keep past-question banks tagged by body and year.
How do we stop cheating in an online exam?
Each exam has its own settings: fullscreen can be enforced, copy, paste and right-click blocked, questions shown one at a time, and a warning shown before a candidate can close or reload the page. Tab-switches and fullscreen exits are flagged live to any staff member monitoring the exam.
Do teachers have to retype all their questions?
No. Questions can be typed, bulk-pasted, reused from a question bank, or extracted by AI from a paper you paste in. The AI output is always a draft — a teacher reviews and edits before anything is saved.
